Colombine Gardair

Dr Colombine Gardair is AWA’s Director of Innovation. Colombine is responsible for the development and evolution of how we do things at AWA – from supporting AWA’s research initiatives to developing new tools and processes. She is a true multidisciplinary practitioner, mixing a background in IT and engineering with an in-depth understanding of all things human.

Colombine has expert knowledge and experience in user research and analytics and helps business leaders develop user-centric work and place strategies where culture, space, services, and technology support the experience and the performance of teams and individuals.

In her consulting work, Colombine directs workplace strategy, experience design and change management projects for a range of industries, although her primary focus is on sciences and higher education sector clients such as the University of Manchester, UCB, GSK and the Royal Pharmaceutical Society.

Colombine holds a PhD in Human Interaction from Queen Mary University of London, as well as graduate and postgraduate degrees in computer science, cognitive sciences and human factors engineering. She is a workplace ergonomist and access auditor and is trained in accessible and inclusive design of the work and public environment.
