Andrew Mawson is the founder and managing director of Advanced Workplace Associates (AWA). 

He is a leading pioneer, thinker and speaker on matters ‘work and place’, trusted by leaders to provide expert guidance and insight to ensure they find the right workplace model to meet their business and people needs. Andrew has in-depth knowledge and experience of new models of working, as well as a thorough understanding of strategy, culture, space, technology and human behaviour to improve business performance and empower leaders to achieve their goals.

In his consulting work he has led holistic change management programmes with respected clients including Invesco, Unicef UK, WTW, the UK Cabinet Office, Direct Line Group, National Rail, the Royal Bank of Scotland, Merrill Lynch, Bupa and Interserve. 

Andrew is a regular contributor to the Advanced Workplace Institute (AWI) and Forbes’ Leadership and Strategy series. He has also directed research programmes on the post-pandemic workplace, knowledge worker productivity, managing the agile workforce and cognitive performance.

He was awarded the honorary tile of Entrepreneur in Residence by Sheffield Hallam University.
